Having a child with special needs sometimes means that their opportunities to participate in athletic activities arelimited, especially as they reach adolescence. In the special needs community, fostering local sports teams isextremely important. Special Olympics teams like DDS Special Olympics Athletes provide athletes between the ages of 8 and 21 with a safe place to get physically active and make connections with their peers, which is important to any community but vital in the special needs community.
 

At DDS Special Olympics Athletes, we serve the special needs community in the Northwest San Antonio area at no cost to the athletes or their families. However, we need partners like you to assist us in serving our team of athletes. Throughout the year our team participates in local and state games, including, but not limited to, Bocce Ball, Track & Field, and Bowling.
 

If you or your company would be interested in providing a donation to our team, there are several options that will help us continue to offer great opportunities at no further burden to the parents of our athletes:

1. You or your company can provide a monetary donation that is tax deductible, as Special Olympics ​
   Texas® is a non-profit organization,

2. You or your company can provide a team sponsorship. In this role, you or your business would provide a donation that would cover the entire cost for our team’s participation in a sport, and in turn DDS Special Olympics Athletes would feature your company as our sponsor at all events held.

3. You or your company could provide in-kind donation. While financial support is sometimes needed, 
   additional support from the community in the form of an in-kind donation, like waters, Gatorades, 
   volunteers, etc. is also vital to our team’s success. In doing so, you or your company can make donations in the form of goods and/or services.
